Pearse Tormey, Executive Chef
Chef Tormey joined our culinary team in 2015, elevating the community’s dining experience. After completing culinary school in England, Chef Tormey immigrated to the United States in 1979. He worked as a chef in Florida, then moved to upstate New York to attend The Culinary Institute of America. With a long, distinguished career, he has worked in the finest resorts and hotels in the country. Committed to cooking only with high-quality, fresh ingredients and developing menus that follow the seasons, he creates fresh, delicious and healthy dishes our residents love.

Elijah Heyboer, Administrator, Health and Wellness Center
Elijah started his Park Place of Elmhurst career while he was a student at Timothy Christian Schools. He worked as a busboy in the dining room, and the job set him on his career path. After studying Human Resources at Trinity Christian College, Elijah accepted an internship at Providence Life Services. Today, as Administrator of the Health & Wellness Center, he continues that commitment to excellence. “Providence goes above and beyond, and that’s what ensures consistent, quality care,” he says.
